Getting Started

Is Simple

To qualify for our low-cost Internet plan, all of the following must apply:

You live in an area we serve with BEAD funding
You haven’t had Nexstream Internet in the past 60 days
Your household qualifies based on income or by participating in an approved assistance program

Ways to Qualify

There are a few different ways your household might qualify for Nexstream’s low-cost plan. You’ll only need to meet one of the eligibility options on the right.

Note: Only one income or program-based qualifier is needed to meet this part of the eligibility.

Your total household income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (For example: $40,880 or less for a household of two. See full income chart →)

Someone in your household must currently participate in one or more of the following:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Medicaid
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Veterans Pension or Survivors Benefit
  • Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program
  • Federal Pell Grant (current award year)
  • National School Lunch or School Breakfast Program (or attend a school under the USDA Community Eligibility Provision)

If Qualifying Through a Tribal Assistance Program:

  • Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
  • Tribal TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
  • Tribal Head Start (income-based)
  • Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)

Documents

You'll Need

To complete your application, you’ll need to upload or mail in a few documents. These help us confirm your eligibility and identity.

Note: Documents must be dated within the past 12 months or show a future expiration date.

Choose one of the following documents that shows you or someone in your household qualifies:

  • SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, or SSI benefit letter
  • Veterans Pension or Survivors Benefit letter
  • Housing assistance documentation from HUD
  • Letter confirming participation in NSLP, Head Start, or other qualifying school programs
  • Award letter for a Federal Pell Grant
  • Letter showing enrollment in Tribal assistance programs like TTANF or FDPIR
  • Income documentation, like a recent tax return or three months of pay stubs
  • Eligibility letter from LIHEAP, TANF, or unemployment assistance

You’ll also need to provide either one form of primary ID or two forms of secondary ID.

Primary ID (only need one):

  • Driver’s license or state-issued photo ID
  • U.S. or foreign passport
  • U.S. military or dependent ID
  • Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
  • Naturalization or Citizenship Certificate
  • Welfare or social services photo ID

Secondary ID (if no primary ID is available, provide two):

  • Social Security card
  • School photo ID
  • Marriage certificate or court order for name change
  • Medicare or Medicaid card
  • Non-photo license or visa
